There are two meaningful ways to partner with us:
Sponsor a Student — $55/month. Your monthly sponsorship gives a student everything they need to walk through the school doors each day: tuition, uniforms, school supplies, and the knowledge that someone believes in them. You'll be matched with a specific student and receive updates on their progress. Click HERE to learn more or submit an application.
Become a Lightkeeper. Lightkeepers help fund the foundation beneath every HUGS student — the salaries of our Guatemalan team, office operations, tutoring, and the flexibility to respond when a family faces a crisis. You can claim an entire month of operations for $3,600, or give any amount toward our $3,600 monthly goal. Every gift, no matter the size, keeps the lights on.
A note to our faithful current sponsors: if you are already sponsoring a student at the $35 level, you are warmly invited to continue at your current level. Your generosity means the world to us.

Your Impact Goes Beyond the Classroom
When you partner with HUGS, you're not just sponsoring a student — you're standing with an entire community. While your generosity primarily supports our Lightkeeper fund and our sponsored and unsponsored students, it also gives HUGS the ability to respond when life happens.
Sometimes that means purchasing bikes so students can get to school. Sometimes it means emergency groceries during the holidays, birthday gifts for children who have never received one, personal hygiene kits, or helping a family repair a flooded home or damaged roof. Many of these needs are the result of poor infrastructure in the Guatemalan villages we serve, and when they go unmet, they become one more barrier between a child and their education.
When a critical need arises, we love reaching out to our donor community because time and again, they’ve stepped up. And that is what makes HUGS more than a program. It makes us a family and we are so grateful.

*If you are making a Lightkeeper gift, please include “Lightkeeper” in the note or memo. Funds that are not assigned to specific students will be allocated to our monthly Lightkeeper fund.
