In the many years HUGS has served numerous families, we have encountered stories that touched the deepest part of our hearts. All of our families have something special to share, but there are a few ones that just make you feel so humbled, by all the struggles they went through, yet they are still standing and pursuing their dreams.

Through this letter, my family, formed by my wife, my five children and I, express our deepest thankfulness towards you, for supporting us by supporting our children’s education through the HUGS (Help Us Go to School) program.
You have sponsored our children since 2019, first Ericka Adriana and María Fernanda, who suffer from profound deafness. It’s really complicated for us due to our economic situation and our geographic location (really far from larger towns) limit us and we can’t provide them with what they need. Then, thank you because you decided to support our son Andrés Sebastián in 2024. He’s currently in 4th grade.
I also thank you for deciding to sponsor our daughter Letizia Abril, I know this will be of great help, so we can guarantee a better future for her. She’s currently in kindergarten, her educational path has just begun.
I’m also really grateful to God for the existence of HUGS. They help and are always on top of the family's necessities. I pray to God to bless each staff member, sponsor or donor who has been or is part of HUGS. The staff has always been great to me and really attentive for my medicines, for diabetes type 2. This has given me the strength to keep fighting and working hard for my family.
